1965 Dodge Coronet? my grandfather had one and he used to take me to the Bronx Zoo as a tot before he passed in '68. I was impressed by the turqoise color and cool unpretentious styling(back lights looked like a shortened 69-73 Valiant). i think this is what may have gotten me into the 71-74 Mopar mid sizers and the big fuselages
I remember my aunt used to describe the car as having a problem around the time he passed as "the car is junk now it kicks and drags". looking back i thought it was surprising as those old Dodges were of a better quality than the early 70's Dodges, according to CR's, and the car was only 3 years old
Closest our family came was a '64 Plymouth Belvedere sedan. But oddly enough there have been two Coronets, I think both '65 models, for sale in these parts within the past year. Both four doors, both excellent condition for the age and prices were under the $4k mark. For all I know at least one if not both are still for sale, not a big market for the family four doors.
