There is really big guy that stuffs himself into a Smart Car that I see near where I work. He is so tall and big that he barely fits, and looks like a can of sardines.
I'm 6' 4" tall, 225 lbs and I sat in a Smart Four Two when I was car shopping a few years ago. Wasn't interested in it other than curious if I'd fit. There was a ton of room inside for me - more legroom than any car I tried save for the Chevy Cruze. I wouldn't want one (just too goofy looking), but I don't think you're right on your point unless he's substantially bigger than me.

A Smart Car. They just aren't really all that smart.
I bought a new Mini Cooper in 2007 that didn't cost much more than a Smart car and got about the same mileage.

That's the problem when you start selling Euro cars in America they rip out the diesel. Prior to the Smart car being on sale in the US it came with a diesel engine. The diesel engine Smart was sold in Canada until they went on sale in the US. Now you can't even buy one up here..just the useless regular gas model.
Something that's broke down on the side of the road.
