When I get too old and decrepit to ride my Burgman 650 I will buy a Corvette that is near the bottom of its depreciation curve. Even a "slow" 'Vett from the late 80's or early 90's is faster then any car or bike I already own.
With crossfire injection, I doubt it, lol. Say that when you get passed up by any year Odyssey.
Like Mr.Willys already said the 1982 C3 (the was no 1983 corvette) and 1984 C4 Corvettes had Crossfire injection and the 1985-1991 had the TPI L98 and the 1991-1996 had MPFI LT1 and LT4 and the ZR1 had the Mercury Marine custom built DOHC 4-valve LT5
you know what I am surprised is the way the Fox body 5.0 1987-1993 notchback mustangs have been appreciating in value..
I would pick one of those up and drop in a 351W and bolt it up to a T56-6 speed for a fun weekend street/strip cruiser that is still tame enough to be daily driven in the summer.
A Shelby Mustang or a Corvette? Both around $50,000.
Which one would you buy and why?
Since I live in Floody City, Texas, every time it rains, I'd be scared to take the Vette out. A part of road on my way to work always floods whenever it rains. I highly doubt the Vette would survive. Another gripe I have is how low the Vette sits.
Having driven both on street and track, the new vette. The c7 is a huge leap forward in every way, esp in quality of materials and build quality. Also, with MUCH improved areo the c7 doesnt need such a low hanging chin spoiler and is much easier entering/exiting driveways etc.
The Shelby does sit higher, but its also rollie pollie soft compared to the Vette.
Because by the time I can afford a Corvette, a gently used c7 garage queen will be cheap(er).
