That is ticketable here if the right lane is designated as right turn only. Otherwise right of way is not even a proper use of the term for that situation.
Miami has had a rash of bicyclist fatalities. In most cases it is the driver via the usual reason-DUI, speeding. In a handful, the motorist was not at fault. But who died?
I'm just guessing but also would be betting a whole lot of money on it, but based on the statements here regarding the legal and safe riding of the bicyclists in Colorado and the support of the idiot who was needlessly harassing them, that a bicyclist not turning right where there is a right turn only lane and therefore properly and legally in the next lane over would be the target of rage and ire by the same morons now screaming and honking at him to illegally get over- into the right turn only lane and out of "their" lane!
I get the same thing when turning left at a multi lane intersection and properly positioned with hand signals; you would think I am killing puppies by daring to correctly utilize the lane while on a bicycle
The religion of cars is America's version of radical (religion).
Somehow that automobiles are a religion to some people that must be protected from anything negative , be it truth or not, seem to be the trend in this thread.

Go figure!
When you sell your gas guzzling Suburbans and live according to the concepts that you seek to impose or guilt trip on everybody else, maybe you'll get some credibility on this issue.
Until then, you're nothing more than an BS elitetist with an agenda to "do as I say, not as I do". Feet of clay there, pipes or t-wad or whatever it is you care to be called.
When you post crap like that one guy who stole the paving stone for his patio and walkway and hauled it to his yard from the quarry with his bicycle and trailer as an example as to how the rest of us should live ... did you sell your motor vehicles and start bicycling exclusively for all your work, play, and visiting friends needs? Well, did you or did you not do so and follow what you consistently preach to all the rest of us?
Otherwise, you're just passing your judgemental guilt trip upon everybody else who chooses to live a different lifestyle than yourself. I call BS on that ... projecting your insecurity and guilt for using your motor vehicle upon everybody else who chooses to use one.
This would be feasible for a lot of people if every road were accompanied by a bike lane separated by a guard rail. As it is, having large numbers of people on bikes sharing the road with cars is like playing Russian roulette. I think it would be better to zero out mass transit subsidies to fund bike lanes, since roads go everywhere, whereas "mass" transit really doesn't.
I tried walking to the gym once from home. 1 mile walk one way. Should have been straightforward except the sidewalk is adjacent to a major roadway where people drive at much higher rate of speed than posted. Then there was the uncertainty of divining the actions of drivers although I had the right-of-way at intersections in the crosswalk. Five in total.
I typically walk 1 mile in 13.20 at the track but this sojourn ended being over 30 minutes. No thanks. Too much stress in view of how people drive. In Miami we place tiny crosses by the roadside to mark a fatality. I notice they tend to occur frequently around bus stops and pedestrian walking areas. A number of occasions during the walk I looked over my shoulder when engine noises sounded much louder and closer than they should have for the posted speed limit. I prefer to have the protection of a car frame/shell around me when venturing close to traffic.
Precisely. Without better protection (guard rails, bike lanes, sidewalks and so on), walking or cycling is much more dangerous than driving.

Ha Ha Ha. Funny stuff . . . 5/10
A mention of "Obama", "socialist" or "47%" would have given it a solid 8/10

Sorry, but t-wad doesn't rise to that level of two-faced guilt trips here ....
and this is the automotive forum where pipes' guilt about using a car gets to be projected upon the unwashed heathen masses who depend upon them in their chosen lifestyles.
I guess you disregarded my other post. But again tell me why not making the environment a high priority in my life makes me dumb.
