Some times I accidently bump the panic button on my 2000 Dodge Caravan and it wont shut off. I thought hitting the panic button again would do the trick but no dice. Any suggestions?
Move closer to the vehicle and try it again.
If nothing happens try tarting the vehicle this should shot it off, if not, there is an underlying problem.

then start puling fuses until it turns off.
The last time it happened I was getting stuff out of the car when I pushed it, every other time I would pull the battery cable but those have been tightened, this went on for about 3-5 minutes so I'm not sure if I hit the button right or it just stopped on its own.
My preferred way is to disconnect the battery. I've never had an alarm stuck on, but I once did have the horn on a '95 LeSabre get stuck - the leather was stretched too tightly over the horn button, evidently. I had to disconnect the battery in order to get some sleep.
This makes me call into question the existence of car alarms in general. Nobody even looks up anymore if they hear an alarm going off. The first thing people think is "shut that damn car alarm up." Nevermind if the car is actually being jacked.
