I have seen Peterbilt oval logos in place of the Ford oval.

Just for fun I put a Mercedes 280 SE badge on the trunk of my 1976 Honda Civic, it looked pretty good and got a few laughs and points from fellow motorists- I say why not have a little fun with badging.

I find it interesting that the OP wrote, "I'd have the honor of driving a Toyota...".

I removed my ///M5 badge and put a 528 badge on it. I couldn't tell you the amount of crap I got from people calling me an idiot for putting an M Appearance package on my 5 series. It is really an ///M5 and I was just doing it for personal amusement.

That is funny.....I do like shaved emblems myself though.

I once lived in a community that didn't allow any trucks over 1/2 ton. So I re-lettered my 3/4 ton diesel with 1/2 ton logos. At least once a month someone would ask me about my 1/2 ton diesel pickup!

No one from the HOA figured out that 8 lug wheels and diesel engines don't come in 1/2 ton trims!

Thats different- they are the same compay. Its like rebadging a contour its aussi/uk counter part whose name escapes me at the moment because they are the same. What the op is talking about is more or less stupid.

We once put Ferrari badges on a riced out Jensen healy at a car show. It was funny. Some people were even puzzled by it. The owner did not find it funny. He understood the sarcasm (at least he was probably smart).

I modified the name badge on my daughters bland grey caravan. It said simply " a van"
