i would say 30 years ago car theft was an issue. today it dropped so much i threw the idea of the club away. we lived in an area in nyc called the car theft capital of new york city.

today car theft is down 76%...

What would be the cheapest thing I could do to have some extra security then? Im guessing a car alarm for an old Honda would be expensive

Install a battery disconnect switch.

A cordless "metabo" small angle grinder will cut through a Club almost instantly. The best protection is good insurance. Then just lock your car and don't worry about it.

I agree. It is the same principal as how owning a dog will deter 70% of thieves from breaking in your house. Why bother dealing with a dog (or the Club) when it is easier to move to another target?

Of course if you own an exotic car, I doubt the Club will deter someone who really wants your car. But if all you are using is a Club to protect an exotic from theft, you kind of deserve to have it stolen.
