Does anyone take roadtrips anymore?

Can't afford to with the screwed up economy since the dimwits took over in 07. So yes. roadtrips are a very rare thing now.

Finding the actual redwood national park is hard to do. We drove past the tiny sign on the road and luckily randomly stopped at a ranger station and figured things out. The entrance is right before you enter the town of Orick. Avenue of he giants is best place to see the wonderful trees. Avenue of the Giants :: Northern California :: US HWY 101

I hope this helps you out, one other really cool thing is you'll see redwoods constantly from the road from Crescent City, CA to south of San Jose along the coasts. We bought a redwood there and a sequoia in sequoia natl park and have them growing inside now, the redwood is 3 ft high now and growing a ton, sequoia is growing too! Fun to see a tree that tiny before it becomes a monster!

Roadtrips are great! My wife and I sure like tossing everything we need in the SUV and off we go. It sure beats flying somewhere when it comes to convenience.
Recently we had a few days of some business in Syracuse NY. then headed to check out Sharon Springs NY then it was on to PA. into Lancaster county to see some Amish and check out the train museum and ride the Strasburg RR.
My wife does bug me a bit though when it comes to our accomadations. She likes to wait into the evening then goes on price line to get a deal. I like the deal part but waiting until the last moment is a little nerve wracking.
Road trips are fun.

Driven from Orlando to Memphis twice for UCF football bowl games (Lost 1st time, won the 2nd time).

Last year drove from Orlando to New Orleans. That was probably my favorite.

In August I'm driving to D.C., Philadelphia, Toronto, and New York City in a 9-day trip. If planned correctly, it'll be phenomenal.

Love driving and it's great if you ride with 3 other buddies.

Every spring break for since kid started grade school we hit the road! Chicago to Texas and to Florida twice. I figure the kids could use a break from their hectic schedule. Plus we go from 30 degrees to 70-80 degrees! Now the kids expect to go every year . Best road trip California coast from LA to San Diego then back up to highway 1 all the way to San Jose.
