How much do you pay a year for your license plate? Here in Cookeville Tennessee it 24.00 a year. It can be a car or motorhome and it will still be 24.00.

Thanks, John

MA every 2 years, I think $41 for regular tags, and once a year for vanity plates at $73 per year.

For the last five or so years, I've paid $65.00 a year to renew my vehicle registration. When I first bought my car, I paid over $300.00. Over the years, the price kept going down to its current level.

Here the fee is based on how old the car is. In my case i is $40 / year plus $25 for emissions every 2 years.

I think a clarification is in order here. Are you talking about the additional ad volerem tax or just the license tax? I loved that about east TN when I lived there- only the license charge. In many states they add a ad volorem/property tax type thing, not really a license fee but a tax payed at the same time, based on the book value of the vehicle. Could be quite expensive, hundreds of dollars. If you have a few new vehicles it could be $1,500.

It changes every year, since I have personalized. But as my truck grows another year older, it goes lower by a few bucks. (Its a 2002).
One thing about being registered in Az though, is that for the most part, we dont have to go through getting smogged, like in many cities, where you have to pass emmissions to get new tags.
