You may have to think back to your childhood for this one, but what was the first car you ever rode in where you thought "wow, this car is really nice!"?

For me, it was probably a 2002 Cadillac Seville I rode in on August 23, 2004. I was 11 years old at the time. It had heated seats in front and rear, and was a 2 year old Cadillac! Sadly it was August, and 90 degrees outside, so I couldn't use the heated seats

The first really high-end luxury car I rode in was a 2006 Audi A8 on March 17, 2010. I'd say this one wowed me more than the Caddy, though I was 17 by this time.

I've been in a lot of luxury cars in my life, but almost all have been rides since the year 2010 or so, very few before then. Then again, I've been in probably 720-750 different cars in my lifetime, with about 670-700 of those since 2010.

I never was one who was impressed by cars, however, the first time I rode in a Corvette (circa 1978) I was extremely impressed with it. Not because it was luxurious, per se, but just because it was so different than any other car I had ever been in.

I was also very impressed with Cadillac the first time I rode in one. I don't recall the exact experience other than it pretty much sold me on the brand thereafter.

A 1985 Lincoln Town car. It belonged to my first boss. When I got my license in 1987 he used to let me take it on company errands (which usually meant ,go to A+P for snacks) and in for servicing and to the car wash.I still can't believe he trusted me with it.

It was the biggest car I ever drove.I remember the first time I drove it,looking out over that vast hood, trying to keep it straight backing up, and trying not to hit the car next to me pulling into a parking space. My car at the time was an '82 Mercury Capri(same thing as an '82 Mustang) not very big and easy to drive. The Lincoln took some effort and planning, lol. But she was a beautiful, luxurious, and dignified car to drive.

I used to like the looks on peoples faces at the dealership when I pulled in for service. This beautiful newer car pulls in and a pimply, long haired, jeans and leather jacket wearing 17 year old thug gets out, lol!

I still miss that car!

First time I test drove a Mazda3. Back in 2004, the first gen one. I had been driving generic used GMs and Fords up to then, and I was amazed at how well a car could handle and feel when designed to be pushed hard.

When I rode in my friends 94 Mazda RX7 after I helped him drop in a 450 whp ls1 v8 in a 2,400 pound car, this was 10+ years ago when not many people were doing this swap. Also riding in a tuned STi with an Australian guy who knows how to race go around Road America in WI. That's where I learned about braking forces and how terrifying they are along with one slight turn (the kink) where you lose control your gonna die by crashing into a wall at 80 mph plus! I had a permanent smile all day after many laps.

Early 80's 911 SC! I was a kid and a guy gave me about a 20 mile ride home in the car. I was so nervous that I was going to ride in a Porsche and I couldn't believe he drove the car over 100 (speedo showed 160 I think, so being a kid I figured if it says 160 it must go 160!).I can recognize the rumble of a 911 from blocks away, hear the metallic clunk of the door and remember the low go cart feel of that car like it was yesterday! I bought one about 10 years later of that vintage and it was a great car (should have kept it). Funny thing that car was very impressive then but by today's standards it is a sled......214 HP, no ABS brakes/traction control, no power steering, terrible a/c, abysmal 4 speaker stereo! But I will buy another one for sure!

It was a 1964 Corvette Sting Ray, Red, split rear window, brand new just bought by my 4th grade teacher. We happened to be walking by his apartment on the way to get ice creams when he was getting into it and let us sit in it. After that it was probably just about 8 years ago when I was in a 2005 Maybach, brand new, ordered for a customer of mine and arrived as I was there doing some work.

1972 Plymouth Fury III rented by my dad out of Florence SC on the way to Myrtle Beach SC. i think it had a 360, dad said it was powerful as hell, mom thought the dashboard and interior was tacky looking

next wow was a 73 Fury Gran Sedan, another rental out of Orlando en route to Disneyworld. my dad thought it made him feel like a bigshot and it was from these rentals that really got me into these cars

2001 Audi S8, drove it back to Columbus from the Akron area in March 02'. Worked at the Audi dealer in school, they asked me if I wanted some overtime... Drove an A6 2.7t loaner up there for the customer to use (some kind of sports doctor) drove customers S8 back down. SOOOO light and fast, without even trying. The size of a Towncar but you wouldn't know it.Owner was kinda pissed about the car said the brakes were warped, they were! Nice guy gave me $20 for dropping the 6 off, said watch out the S8 was fast! Even with the warped brakes (felt like the rears, think he may have been doing some driving with the e-brake on) it was a blast, had at least one Audi around ever since in one way or another.
