The last time I could customize my car was back in the 70's.

Must have: Cruise control, AC, keyless entry.

Want: Power windows, keyless ignition ("push button start"), map lights, automatic climate control, lots of airbags and good structural integrity (crash protection), good audio with USB and Bluetooth that works with BOTH Android and iPod/iOS.

Don't want: Anti-lock brakes. They suck. They double my stopping distance in snowy weather. If I'm trying to stop and the brakes just won't, you know, BRAKE, I sometimes turn the key to off to defeat the system so that the tires can try to bite. (I've pulled the ABS fuse in some cars I've owned, but then I have to look at warning lights.)

Ditto for traction control. I'm trying to go in the snow, the wheels slip the slightest amount, and the system cuts the power not just a little (as I would), but pretty much all the way! I know how control my own traction, and I'm better at it than my car--I've driven in Minnesota for 22 years, and I even used to go out driving for fun every single time it snowed. Luckily I can turn it off.

assuming this would be for a daily driver;

a mid 80s tbird with

a 2002 split port 4.2 V6 and 5R55s five speed automatic swapped in, along with a custom upper intake and a vortech blower.

power steering, power brakes.

8.8 rear end from a 94-04 mustang loaded with 3.73 gears

and being that i am getting old and lazy, power windows and door locks

a decent stereo

cobra brakes, and heavy duty chassis upgrades as well as proper cooling system upgrades.

i will leave off the traction control, abs, navigation, moon roof, etc.
