ok im 17 and im getting my permit next week... yes im late but yea...
im a responsible person holding down a job and such
i have found out from many people i can drive with a permit and nobody else in the car as long as i get a special form that says i can go to work and school from the dmv and such....
but i have not seen any mention of this form anywhere

anyone know anything more about this ?

That sounds familiar but it probably differs from state to state. If I were you, I'd go to your local DMV and ask what you need to do.
