Be nice if I could have my 78 Camaro with mint condition body with modern Camaro suspension, brakes, AC, transmission, and 3.6L V6 engine. In the Camaro, that V6 has plenty of power for the light 78 Camaro. Would also want modern Camaro seats in fabric, no vinyl. Would also need at least 17 inch rims and wider low profile tires and THEN I'd take it back.

I had a 1979 Z-28, with the 350 C.I. V-8, and the auto tranny. It was okay, not the true muscle car of a decade earlier. It had a nicely appointed interior, with the checkered cloth seats, with some vinyl on them..

I know how rough I was on every car I ever owned. I would never touch a car I ever owned even if it was given to me.

My first car last time I saw it was off the road in the middle of the woods on my grandparents farm. It sort of stopped running when I hit the big oak tree. As far as I know it is still there. I tried to use it for an ATV before there were ATVs.

Default Morris Minor 1000 - who's even heard of it?

My first car was a Morris Minor 1000. Funny I can't remember the year model, but it had to have been late 1950's. British car, which I bought used from my father when I was a sophomore in college. (I am now 70). The car was very primitive in every respect, which at least made it easy to work on. It was small and slow. It had a speedo right in the center of the dash - I suppose to save money by using the same dash for both British and American models.

Would I want it back? Only for reasons of nostalgia and as a curiosity. Forget it for road trips, although I did drive it from Los Angeles to Atlanta when I was 18 - what an adventure!

One of my friends had one in the late 1950s. Was a very easy car to work on. You didn't happen to live in Tariffville CT in the 1950s?

I have sentimental feelings about that car, but I would never want it back -- it was a red 1978 Pinto with a black pin-stripe! It always felt like a very slim piece of steel was the only thing separating me from the road. I drove that thing for about six years, then sold it to my then-boyfriend's sister, who drove it for another three years at least.

My first car was a 1972 Cadillac Sedan DeVille and I wouldn't want it now because it was wrecked in an accident eight years ago. Stands to reason that if it exists in any corporeal form presently, it's either a shell that has been picked clean for parts or it is a crushed hunk of metal.

Would I want another '72 SDV in the condition that mine was in when I got it? Sure. I loved that car. It'd suck having to feed it these days (it got 10-11 mpg city and 13-15 mpg highway), but maybe I'd eco-mod it so that it would do better... either that or I just wouldn't drive it much. That car was a tank and it had all the room a guy could need... plus it was cool with a capital COOL to be driving an antique car when you're 19 years old.
