i boughtna truck with money borrowed from my brothers friend. The agreement was i would pay him back with my paycheck from a job i just started. But because of naivity i let my mother deal with the title transfer, which was supposed to be put in my name. But because of a arguement, she decided to put it in ner name even though technically i bought the car not her and will not do so until i give her money and a apology publicly. So can i call the cops and tell them that the title transfer was stolen or hijacked or have the title transfer considered invalid?
Theres not another way to accomplish the goal without humiliation in court?
This is a civil matter, police won't touch it. No have no recourse other than going through the legal system if she refuses to work with you.
If she should decide she wants the car back from you, it works the same way, she has to go through the legal system.
Really doesn't matter who is on the title, drive it and enjoy it.

I can't see how. If the vehicle is registered in another persons name it's legally their vehicle. You would have to get a judge to reverse ownership.

Either way. If OP paid for the car and she registered it in her name it's not right. Whatever was happening between OP and mom previously has nothing to do with the purchase and title transfer. Two wrongs don't make a right and all that ......
Pretty sure you need to be present to complete paperwork and get the title in your name. You also need to prove insurance on the vehicle.
This is a civil matter, but will probably end up being a good learning experience for you.
