The front reads like "D O G E", like a Dodge with the 'd' missing, but that G might be an 'O' as well.

So what is it, what was it?

After flailing around the 'net a bit, it looks like a Commer FC to me. Chrysler Europe apparently took over Commer and re-branded many of their vehicles, including this one, as Dodges. I guess it was known in this era as the Dodge SpaceVan.
