So I have a Honda civic. Two years old. Purchased new. No problems whatsoever until today. This morning ,the driver's seat car door was slammed really hard and the car will not power ON at all now. Any insight will be appreciated .What could the problem be? How to resolve?
Please do not advise about not slamming car doors, that lesson has been learnt.
Thanks.

Check your battery terminals to make sure they're tight. I really can't think of anything like this that could be caused by slamming the door.

Do the Civics have a fuse box just inside the car, forward of the door?
If so, check to make sure no fuses or relays have popped out or loose.

That's what I'm thinking as well. The impact may have shaken loose a power or ground wire either at the battery or another component that is integral to starting the vehicle.

Isn't the car under warranty?

Make sure battery terminals are not loose and fuses are all tight as mentioned before. If they are ok and the car is still under warranty, have it towed to the dealer.

Some cars have a safety switch that cuts all power under an impact. However, I had an early '90s Honda Accord that was nearly cut in half in an accident and it still started and ran.

Check any fuses near the door that was slammed.

A slammed door should not have done anything especially if door not harmed. Take it to dealer; should be under warranty.

If you have a run of the mill digital voltmeter you can follow the battery voltage from the battery into the cables and further but as others suggested I'd only do that to avoid the hassle of having it towed for warranty repairs thinking its something SIMPLE like even a ground connection too.
