Are your windows tinted? Ceramic tint is a great way to go. It does not have to be dark to work. They have nearly clear tint that can be applied to your windshield.

Driving with the sun shining through my window and the door trim is cool to the touch.

That's great, but I'm talking about when the car is parked and not running. I have a non-hybrid car and I average 38 MPG.
