I worked for Chrysler in the early 80's at their Michigan Warren Truck assembly plant we made the Dodge 1/2 3/4 and 1 ton pickup trucks, along with the Ramcharger, Powerwagon, Dulley, the Lill Red Truck, and the Warlock trucks. Then was transferred to their Newark Delaware assembly plant making the 4 door and the Station Wagon K cars. If you never seen how a car or pickup is made its really something else, just to see how everything comes together to give you a finished product. We were pitting out 55 trucks an hour, and 75 K Cars an hour. Just wondering if anyone else worked for the big 3 and at what plant.

My dad retired from GM's Fisher Body plant located on Fort and Un Detroit right down the street from the Clark street Caddilac assembly plant. My brother's father in law worked there and his mother inlaw worked the the old GM headquarter was a secretary or one of the VP. Talk about the money they made his father inlaw would walk around for 3 weeks before cashing his paycheck he bought and sold cars as a hobby but made some good money doing it.

Somewhere around 18 members of my family work for Ford, in various plants, and locations in Southeastern Michigan. I worked in Engineering for an Auto Supplier in Dearborn in the late 80s to early 90s. Spent lots of time at Ford, Chrysler and other factories, but never went to work for any of the Big 3 directly.

No "Big 3" around these parts, but I do plan to tour the Hyundai plant in Montgomery one of these days.
