It depends on how much time you have. What do you know about the salvage history?

The more you know the better for making the buyer more comfortable.

I know nothing...purchased in 2009 as 2nd owner...
will the VIN history report go into detail about the salvage?

As a buyer, I'd only think about it if the salvage vehicle has a 30-40% discount from a similar non-salvage one.

I would never never never purchase any salvage title vehicle. Some do and are happy.

It's worth $8000 with clear title so I would probably ask for $5000 and go as low as $4000.

In excellent condition its value is $7600.00, assuming it has an automatic transmission.

Include the salvage title, its worth $3800.00, depending on its condition now.

So roughly I would say its worth between $1500.00 to $2000.00 ???

It would help if you posted up why the salvage title. The car may have been hit and bad, poorly repaired, or it may just have been stolen, insurance paid out on the stolen car, stolen car is recovered in good if not perfect shape - salvage title.
