That being said I've only purchased two brand new cars in my life.

One had 35 miles on it, the other 9

That's not bad really, for a period of two years I drove just about as much as an interstate OTR truck driver...did 160,000 miles in 24 months. Just keep things well maintained & you'll be OK.

Its your car.
Don't worry , just drive it. Keep it serviced and it will last.
Keep it detailed and you will like it better over the long haul.
Don't let the miles bother you.

Putting miles on a NEW car very fast, generally results in more miles before the car breaks down.

50,000 miles on a 10 year old car, might have problems if you start driving alot

100,000 miles in 1 year, car should be fine.

Yes, my driving is mainly highway, to work and when I visit my hometown.

Easy and cheap to fix if you keep up on them and don't let the pads wear out.
I tend to change my oil every 5k miles. I will keep an eye on my transmission and steering fluid. About the breaks, I had them replaced just last month.

I live by the ocean.. . . . . . What they would do was get a car and drive it to the work area. Install a radio and take it back. Someone else would get that car and install wheels and tires, someone else would get that car and change the seats. What ever was needed for a given car. Makes you wonder why they stopped selling cars here in the US, not too profitable when you run a business like that.
Quite common for some imports at that time.

The Subaru distributorship here did the same thing for years. Very high profit margin doing this. I got a free car radio from a friend who was employed by the distributorship. One of the pulled out ones.
All radios at that time came out and new better ones put in for a good mark up. Same with rims, floor mats, pin striping, etc.
Those days are gone now. But high profits at distributorship at the time.

When I bought my 04 CR-V I was driving 1200-1400 miles a week. I put 54 000 miles year one onto that car and was doing oil changes every 3 weeks.

Of its steady speed not stop and go mileage you're good to go. Highway driving at constant speeds are very easy on vehicles. I routinely get 200,000 out of work vehicles and that's hauling tools, parts, towing.
You should have no issue getting 250,000 or more miles out of it.
My cars have 150-160,000 and I drive them daily.
