Anyone got a ticket for HID lights?

My nighttime vision is very good, to the point where on full moon nights I sometimes even wear sunglasses at work. The newer style headlights are bright, but the worst offenders are those who think they can put HID's in regular older style light housings. They should be ticketed for it, and harshly. If I were king I would outlaw the sale of these HID retrofit kits.

I am quite sick to death of constantly being blinded at night by the idiot attention whores who install these garbage lights on their cars and trucks thinking they make them look cool or something. For the record, it isn't idiot teens, pickup trucks or overprices imports that make up the bulk of these morons, it is pretty much an even cross-segment of all three classes of vehicles here in Canada that are guilty. Stupid knows no age limits, ethnic boundaries or social classes, after all.

Seriously... Why not just drive around with your high beams on 24/7? It makes as much sense as installing these insanely bright headlights that serve no purpose other than to blind everyone in the oncoming lanes of traffic.
