The Chevy Cruze looks really nice, but I am afraid of used american cars lol. Everyone I know barely gets any miles out of an american car before having to replace the tranny
My dad fits fine in my 2011 Honda Accord sedan. He is 6'3". Even in the back, he has head room. He has plenty of leg room with the driver's seat all the way back. Judging by how much room he has, I'd say someone 6'6" could fit in there easily.
I am 6'4 and prefer SUV 's to cars. I did own a GEO Metro which surprising had good head and leg room. Kind of hard to get in and out of though.
I currently drive a 2002 Toyota RAV4 stick shift which has adequate room. Next vehicle might very well be a Toyota Highlander. Not planning on buying another vehicle for a few years so who knows what will be available then.
I just find cars a pain to get in and out of at age 54.

I recently had an almost brand new Cruze as a rental recently.. I am 6 1, very long torso.. The car was actually pretty comfy. For such a small car and motor, it definitely had some pep to it as well, and my DD is a 12 Mustang GT.
2007 Honda Fit has plenty of head and leg room. Modern cars are much better than older ones, in my experience, for taller than average people.
I was expected much bigger than 6'3"-more like 6'8" or above. That's tall!

I understand, but what Ive read there are minor issues with the cruze and sonic, but nothing really major from what ive read.
The Cruze, Malibu, Regal, G6, Grand Prix, Verano, Sonic, Taurus, and BMW 3 series are the best leg room I can remember for the driver. I know many people with American car transmission failures, but when asked, if they changed the transmission fluid, they look a deer blinded by head lights and that pretty much explains it all.
Im 6'2". I understand your predicament. I can no longer ride or drive in a car, ANY car for very long without getting claustrophobic. Can I fit in them, yes, comfortably, maybe if I don't drive like my wife Lucerne, would I be able to ride or drive in one on a long trip NO! Last year we sat in a good number of the cars mentioned in this thread so far. Sure, I fit and probably could have made the best of it with the seat way back, but then no one would be able to ride back there that wasn't 2 years old in a car seat!
I don't have a long torso and I prefer to sit laid back when I drive. I chose those particular model years because I am trying to stay between $10-12k. I currently drive a 2000 corolla
My dad is your height and he drives a Honda Civic and also has an Acura NSX as a toy. Unless you're like 6'8" or above I wouldnt think height would be an issue. I'm 6'1" and drove a corolla when I was younger.
I am 6'7" tall and notice that even new pickup trucks are being made for shorter people. My 1990 F250 has more leg room than a 2015. Now the perfect car for me is the 1969 Dodge Charger.
