$300 for brake pads on all 4 wheels of my toyota 4cylinder done at a mom and pop shop. Theres about 140,000 miles on the vehicle and I just purchased it last yr.
Young lady, if you have a friend, they can do this for just $100 for labor and you maybe pay additional $100 for parts?
i has one from a very well known brake service brand shop that wanted $1800 to do my truck, the truck only worth $1200. all i had was one worn rotor. they wanted to replace all four rotors, then turn four brand new rotors at $80 a piece, replace all four calphers, They was claiming some un safe vehicle rule, would not let me have my car. Had to call the police to get my car back
I replaced the pads in our RAV4 not too long ago and the hardest part was taking the wheels off. I think taking the wheels off took more time than replacing the pads.
Get a load of this! Was just quoted at $580 to do front pads and rotors only. I call that highway robbery! I said no thanks, bought replacement pads/rotors for all four tires for $150, and am having a local guy do the job for $100.

Not bad. The pads/rotors you bought were probably 10x better than shops anyways.
