Any car enthusiasts here who are also Lego fans? Porsche has partnered with Lego to built the ultimate Lego set at 2700 pieces, the Porsche 911 GT3. This would be a great showpiece also. It has a detailed dashboard, working steering wheel shift paddles, working gearbox, racings seats and moving pistons engine. It is 19 inches long and over a foot wide! There's a limited amount being made, and each set has a serial number on the glovebox. People are already reselling them at a jacked up price on Amazon. They will probably stop making the set in December. Check out this link:

It's a decent looking and very expensive kit. I just wish it were part of the creator series and the same scale as the F40.

In the $500 range on ebay.

For $299 retail, I would have bought a kit and kept it sealed. I'm into collected car-related, serialized items like this.

While it's nice, it can't beat my 1/18 scale AutoArt collection. I've had several cars that I've bought for $75 and flipped them for $200 ~ 250.

I went by the local Lego store at the mall, and they had 3 Porsche sets, at the retail price of $300. They had a built one on display, and it looks awesome and big! They are limiting 1 per household at his time. The store owner said Lego will stop making these after several months, so if you have an unopened box -it will fetch quite a bit of money.

At $500 it's safe to say the white trash stock market is in a bubble. It's cool, but idea that some people will buy these and seal them up is silly.

Legos are the new Beanie Babies

It is $350 (includes 25 % VAT) in the Norwegian online Lego shop, but it is out of stock at the moment and is expected to ship in 5-6 weeks. Maybe I should buy one. Has anyone bought the much cheaper F40?

I have it. Its a great set. I've also got the VW Type 1 bus. I would have been nice if this 911 was at least the same scale so I could display them next to each other with out it looking weird

I've got a few nice Autoarts. Paid $75-100ish, and then found resale on Ebay was 2x-3x.

I have a lot of the GMP series Ford Mustangs. Paid $95 for their 1993 Cobra, and these sell for $500+ on Ebay these days. Mine is still NIB never opened.

Lol, my first car was $500, and now the Porsche Lego set is selling for that same amount on flea bay (yeah I know 20 years means piles of inflation, but it's still funny).
