Gasoline prices rose back above $3 a gallon Monday for the first time in nearly a month as crude oil prices have risen on demand worries.
The national average price of regular gasoline rose to $3.014 a gallon Monday, according to AAA, after topping $3 over the weekend. That is almost a penny lower than a month ago but about 76 cents higher than a year ago.
We can say thank you to that ass in Venezuela for the recent spike in gas prices.
Chavez is bluffing. His country would go broke if he really stopped sending oil to its top consumer. Americans bankroll that regime, lock stock and barrel.
The only reason prices are spiking that has anything to do with Chavez or Venezuela is that a lot of Americans are gullible enough to fall for his bluff which they read in passing while they were loading up the entertainment news to find out the latest on Britney.
I heard on the news there was some kind of fire at an oil refinery in Texas, I believe it was. Not sure.
Anything they can use for an excuse to raise the prices, they will use.
Thats why I bought a motorcycle last year. It gets 80 mpg. Put over 1100 miles on it in 2 months that I had good weather.
Can't wait for warmer weather again. My little way to protest the prices. I won't use much gas next summer.
I wish everyone that is physically able to ride a small motorcycle or scooter would get one if the commutes are feasible.
That would sure cut down on the demand and supply BS.
I can't believe Colorado has cheaper gas than Chicago - I can't wait to get out of here. I saw an article awhile back that said Chicago is one of the most expensive places for gas- I never knew how much more we're getting ripped off, tho.
Since Colorado's on my list of possibilities, this helps w/ my move. Thanks
