With an exotic or classic car, no problem. If they're driving an ordinary junker and they're behind on child support payments well that might be a different reaction you'll get..

If I were to take a pic of an exotic car that had a person in it, I would certainly blur the person's features before posting it. It seems like the nice thing to do.

I'm a fan of cool looking cars. I have taken pictures of them to show off to my friends but never with the owner inside. If the owner was nearby or inside, I'd ask first to be polite
My two sons and I build hot rods, and we can't go anywhere without cell phones and cameras going off. I have been driving along and have seen someone with a video camera hanging out the window, shooting us. Gas stops are always a long ordeal, because people keep coming up and asking questions and taking photos. If we go down to the beach for dinner , flash bulbs are going off all the way down the street.
We've gotten used to it, after all, attention is why you build these things in the first place. I find it to be fun and flattering, and always thank them for taking the pictures.
The best one was one time a Porsche roadster pulled up next to me at a light, and the girl passenger said "I like your car." The guy driving didn't seem real amused by that !
I was coming down from Deal's Gap on my bike, Rt. 129, The Tail Of The Dragon and in two or tree spots there were people taking pictures of me. No biggie, I found them on the 'net and downloaded them, I thought it was kind of cool, actually.
An Exotic Vehicle is definitely not required. I would be mega-rich if I received a dollar for each and every time my 1986 Jeep CJ-7 gets "snapped" either with me in it or not.
Unfortunately, many use their SmartPhones for pictures more often than communicating.
If they want privacy they should tint their windows.
