Hi, I am having some trouble on this website and finding out the proper way to post something I hope this is the right spot, if not please tell me what is. I have an 88 ford ranger 2.9L V6 I have recently changed the gas tank and fuel put (in tank fuel pump and the whole get up) it took me a while to get the tank and everything on being that there were holes in the metal like coming from the tank and in the tank itself so keeping it on I thought was pointless until I got a new tank. So I put the tank and fuel kit on started the truck it ran miserable and hardly had enough power to move it's manual so I had to hit the gas a little and baby the clutch to move 1 or 2 feet and then hold the clutch down or else it would stall out. My first thought was it's probably the timeing bc it wasn't right when we first had gotten the truck so I figured since it's getting the fuel it should now that's probably why, so we changed the timing a little and lost spark, this had happened before and we replaced the ingnition coil and it worked for awhile but the fact that it happened again means most likely that something else is causing it. So a mechanic I know said it's most likely the Ignition moldule. We replaced that and it starts up still doesn't really have power and stalls out after a few minutes. When it first starts up you can hit the gas and everything seems normal but it hardly wants to move and then after a little you need to be careful because hitting the gas can make it want to stall out and then it just dies. After that happens it wont start unless you let it sit for about an hour or so and it just does the same thing again. Any information would be great thanks

P.S. I hope this enough information to get some good answers and sorry if reading this makes you want to die, I'm not the best writter ever lol

Did you replace the fuel filter, and flush the lines? If not try that, if you did, it could be the injectors. Having the tank with holes means it probably sucked up rust and debris.
