OP, if you have covered parking and a free weekend, learn to do it yourself. Think of it as a weekend hobby that gets you off the couch and away from your electronic device for a few hours over the weekend. When your car doesn't need a clay bar or hand wax, detail clean the interior and apply protectant to the plastic and rubber trim.
You can clay that car in like 10 mins. Use a good liquid wax for ease of application and honestly not counting a wash I think I could have that car clayed and waxed in 30 mins.
All claying does is get rid of contaminates on your car (tar, dust, dirt) to prep it for paint correction. If he isn't polishing the car to remove swirls and micro marring then claying is pointless. In fact depending on what type of clay he uses it might even introduce more micro marring on the car.

I say save your $75.
You can use a less aggressive clay. Claying the car is a good idea prior to waxing otherwise you could create swirls while waxing. This car is probably swirled up already as it is 17 years old.
It is not a bad price but it really is pretty easy to do yourself.

You can introduce swirls while claying and waxing. Sure the detailer could use a less aggressive clay but he probably is buying off the shelf at auto store and those are the more aggressive ones.
But if the car is (likely) all swirled up, just use a touchless sealant like CarPro Hydro2
Simple, easy, and actually does work. My guess is OP is looking for a bit of shine with some protection. This product does just that.
That is super cheap. I would do it. It is nice to have a clean car out of respect in owning a vehicle. I always keep my cars in good shape just because it is such a joy to even own car no matter what the brand.
Is it a hand wax or one of those drive through places which drops some wax coating. For hand wax yes the price is reasonable, could get away with $50 or $65 as well...For drive through places don't pay more than $20-$25 max for such services period
Everyone should clay a car before wax. I’m 76 years old and it takes 30 minutes to clay the car and windows. My old 1999 MB daily driver sits outside and I clay and wax it twice a year. The car still looks new. If you should drop the clay bar, throw it away.
