also 0% is only for top tier (750+) FICO Auto enhanced (only car dealers can check and its not same as the regular FICO score you can check) most people will pay like 10% to 30% so leasing is better as all lease deals are 0% even for lower credit scores

Um...what? The money factor on a lease is the same thing as the interest rate on a purchase. It does vary by credit score and I’ve never seen that be 0%.
In my experience, the bit about high resale values for gently used Subies is usually pretty true so it often makes sense to just go ahead and buy new and get the full factory warranty.
Since you put such few miles on a car per year I would buy outright and keep it. If you are worried about something going bad after the original warranty is over then get yourself the extended warranty. Just make sure it is the manufacturers warranty. I think you can get it for up to 8 years now. May cost a bit extra but you will have piece of mind for 8 years.
I looked into that and the buy payments are in the 320s thats alot for me .. I am going to look at the car tomorrow. They said 275 now all in lease 12 k a year nothing out of pocket is that a good deal? I think the national sale is 219 lease 12 k miles a year plus taxes and fees with 1700 down. So, no $ down, 275 seems fair? also my insurance goes down 80 a year. Your thoughts?
FYI...... this is a base forester 6 speed I dont mind shifting but was told the manuals are hard to sell so thats another reason to lease, Just turn it in at 3 years and walk away...
What would be the point of that? Taxes vary widely from 0% to 10% not to mention state rules on what exactly is taxed in a lease(some the whole amount, some just the depreciated amount/monthly payment)
Im trying to figure out if 275 all in for 36 mo 12 k miles is a decent lease payment no money down. I almost forgot to mention the residual is 14700 I dont think I would buy it out
the national subaru sale says 219 a month with 1799 down excluding taxes and fees
