Driver less cars are becoming a reality even with recent set backs.
Today they still require an operator just in case but soon we will have totally driver less cars. Tesla is testing large trucks that will operate on the highways without drivers.

I don't use uber but many do so say if a driver less car or taxi pulls up to pick you up and take you where you want to go would you get in?

Would you feel a bit awkward sitting in the back and being driven to your destination?

The future is closer than we think.

Would you ride in a car that does not have a human operator?

I drive so much that these days I can barely be a passenger in a car driven by another human being. Being in a driverless car would be odd.

Not currently. Give it a good decade or so to mature and ask again.

Heck, I'm about to buy a new vehicle and am struggling to find a manual transmission. Getting hard to find a good econobox with manual transmission....

In a heartbeat! I am statistically much safer in an autonomous vehicle than I am in one driven by a human.

Safer than driving with the missus.

And apparently safer than being a pedestrian near one.

I get into a driverless car every day. And drive it.

The day I don't have to drive anymore can't come quick enough for me. There are a plethora of awful drivers everywhere - I figure my odds are way better in the driverless car. It does make me laugh how people are nervous about something going wrong when there's already mass carnage on our streets every day. Somehow it's more acceptable if some idiot human slams into you (or you're the idiot human slamming into someone else).

You betcha I would ride in a driverless car. I'm no Luddite, I welcome new technology.

You naysayers can go ride in a horse and buggy. Don't let the horse poop hit you.
