Errr, even if Hyundai were to take over FCA, it’s unlikely American jobs would be lost as a result. All auto manufacturers (American or foreign) build cars where it makes financial sense for them to do so. Period. Just like any business. He had a good head for business and made some deals that worked out well, although luck and timing played a role too.

And if Hyundai were to buy Chrysler then the Hyundai automotive plants would have to become UAW that would be a big breakthrough, because Chrysler is a UAW company and Hyundai is not, so now let’s see if Hyundai will become union if they ever buy Chrysler.

The Mercedes Alabama plant existed when Daimler owned Chrysler but it was never UAW. If Chrysler’s quality were to improve then it would likely lead to more jobs since their cars would become more popular.

I should have gone with my gut and bought Foat when it was $4 a share. The fundamentals looked good, Marchionne was a freaking legend in the European car industry. I just wasn't sure how he was going to avoid letting Chrysler drag the joint venture down the way they dragged Mercedes down for a while. Last I checked the stock was around $17 a share and has a stronger chart than GM and Ford. Ford has been dead money for a long time.

This is very unfortunate. Marchionne did save Fiat and Chrysler, but I'm not sure their products are much better than they were when he took over. They always lag in reliability surveys.

They only make 3 cars now and the ones they sell are quite popular like the challenger, the charger, and the 300 the rest are pickups and Jeep and the Pacifica van. And when Daimler owned Chrysler they never invested in the car or the SUVs they only wanted the Jeep and pickup trucks because Daimler dose not have a pickup in their lineup even today and everyone wants Jeep, and when they owned Chrysler their plants in Germany were union unlike Hyundai witch has no union plants anyway, will be interesting if Hyundai ever bought Chrysler and how they and the UAW will get along because Hyundai cannot get rid of the UAW as much as they wish they could.

Well, that's enough. How many variations on a theme do you want? Just what's the difference between a CRV and an HRV? Chrysler saved Fiat, not the other way around. The super cute, gas sipping 500 is on its death bed but the gas guzzling Demons are paying the rent.

The 500 will no longer be sold here and Chrysler is doing allot better than people think I have friends that work for them in the plants and they should know better than anyone on here what’s going on with the company they work for. People on here have no knowledge about the what goes on in Chrysler HQ in Auburn Hills Michigan. I take the word of a actual Chrysler employee than anything i read in the news or on here anyway.
