Not sure how many "mainstream buyers" would pay $36,000 for a Mazda CX-5.

If you can get an Accord or Camry > $40k I think a $36k CX5 is in the running for mainstream buyers.

There are thousands of people are buying $50k+ RDXs. I think the definition of "mainstream buyer" is creeping higher and higher in terms of pricing.

I rather be driving a Cherokee 4x4 in a snowstorm than a CRV.

Meh. I drive a 10 year old Corolla. I live at 7000 feet in Colorado and we get a LOT more snow than Detroit does. Stability control and Blizzaks are all you need.

I believe you just saw on our local news that the upper peninsula of Michigan has over 200 inches of snow so far i doubt you Corolla could handle that type of country and - 0 temperatures witch Colorado hardly gets so I’ll take a 4x4 Cherokee in that type of snow.

I think they got it right, although I might have switched the fourth and fifth place vehicles given the poor brakes, engine performance, and ride in the RAV4.

Have you test driven the Rav4 to make those claims or just taking their word at it?
