Boston is the only big city I've been in so far where I am literally scared to go back, due to the traffic and such!

I have family in Richmond Virginia and Raleigh North Carolina and I think the people there drive like maniacs as well! Rush, rush, rush - disregarding traffic lights, stop signs, excessive speeding on the freeways, etc.

I thought Boston might be in that list.

Didn't enjoy driving there much.

Just saw Freelander's comment, and I can understand the feeling!

Atlanta has the worst I've ever seen personally.......I felt like I needed a bulldozer while driving through that mess.

Greensboro NC!! Especially for such a small city, the drivers SUCK bad! Don't believe me, take a drive down I-40 from Greensboro to Raleigh or take a drive down High Point road!! Anyone who's been there knows what I'm talking about.

Phoenix, hands down! Lets take a look at what we have:
Snow birds
Illegal Aliens who dont speak English or have a license
High school students
The elderly (sun city)

Take that and add the fact that Metro Phoenix is larger in sq miles than LA and that alot of cars DONT have AC and you have a recipie for disaster!

People in Charlotte are terrible. We have such a large influx of drivers from places like Florida, NJ, California, and New York as well as a bunch of NASCAR wannabes. People here will tailgate you to no end, won't use blinkers, will pull out in front of you at any given moment, Will cut coupons while driving, Refuse to turn on headlights in the rain. Hell even the shopping centers here have idiots doing whatever they want. We also have a problem with bikers here too, they'll ride on the busiest of roads at the busiest of times which just creates more problems.
My official vote goes to Florida though, especially around Miami. Do traffic laws exist down there?

I know exactly what you mean, it's why I quit using I-40/85 whenever I go to Raleigh from Charlotte. There's always some major accident that holds up traffic for God knows how long. Winston-Salem has some crazies too.

Out of interest, is there anywhere where you consider the driving standards to be good?

Many people here cite the area where they live.

Does this mean that standards are generally poor?

This is not a US dig by the way, I would like to hear your opinions.

It has been awhile since I had been through there and had forgotten that bunch (I lived near Brigham City for awhile)
