Yup. That’s why I buy brand name tires. I usually run (choice in order)
Michelin (my wife’s and my DD)
Hankook AT
Toyo AT

Michelin is by far the one brand that has stood by their tires when i had issues.

If you are selling it and it drives smooth, why worry about it?

If I’m selling it I’ll jut throw the cheapest tires I can on it. I may just go buy some used tires that have decent tread. If the car needed tires.

Well, I had Michelins with a 60K tread wear guaranty. Nice tires but the wear indicators were showing at 48K. Their warranty is pro-rated, so I’d only get a discount off a new set at full price, currently about $200 per tire.

Did you look at the picture? Those massive, ugly weights? Unacceptable.

TimAZ, good luck today and let us know how it goes.

Just depends on the balance of each tire/wheel combo.........one set may require more/less weight for correct balance then another set.

What tire shop still uses the outside weights? The shops I've gone to mount the weights internally these days.

Any new tires installed are going to be better than nothing, when it comes to trade-in or private party sale.

The tires ride smoothly and are quiet, but what do you think about needing that many weights to get to balance?
Gotten the same treatment for a BF Goodrich All-Terrain. "Whatever it takes". You can have them or another shop use a different kind of weights (inside the rim) that can look a little better.
