OnStar is only for General Motors vehicles. Those who want OnStar type services but do not have a GM vehicle are looking at services like Verizon's HUM.

Yanking the battery out isn’t that simple on vehicles anymore. Some batteries sit on a shelf in the left wheel well you have to remove left front tire and inner fender to gain access to the battery. And some batteries are in the trunk of vehicles. So yanking the battery is not that simple anymore like the old days. Automakers have moved or buried the battery to make room for other equipment needed to meet federal regulations.

Why would they take the chance of getting caught breaking into the garage and opening the garage door, they would make to much noise. Totally agree here. Your keys are probably in the landfill because these guys took what they wanted and trashed the rest. If your credit cards haven't been used by now you are probably safe n that too. Even a dumb thief knows of he's going to use your charge cards he needs to do it right away before you cancel them.
Get a 2nd key off Ebay and go to a dealer. You always want 2 keys. Programming new keys always shuts down any keys not present at time of programming. Your dealer is too busy? Is there no other dealer?
