Yeah, and Federal Way Costco is 1.93 and Covington is (was 2.29). How they warrant 30 cents diff 8 miles apart straight FWY drive - both stations are right off HWY18 - I do not know.
Seattle downtown never dropped past $3.
Gas prices are definitely going up. Oil is not the correct indicator to look at, it is RBOB which is wholesale gas. If you look, wholesale gas has more than doubled since March 22 which is the reason gas is going up. RBOB always goes up when the switch to the summer blend is made.
May 1st was the original date when refineries and terminals could no longer ship winter-blend gasoline to retailers. The EPA changed this to May 20th.
It's impossible to know whether they are still selling winter gasoline as of today, May 15th. They could continue selling it for a few more days, or they could be shipping summer gasoline now, just so there is no mistake and no confusion and no penalties.
Gasoline prices always rise ahead of the change-over date. It's happening now, just a few weeks later than normal.
It's just the pre-memorial weekend squeeze to see how much they can get out of people. It will drop off afterwards. I only filled up my car twice since March, don't think I need a fill up until June.
There is a glut of fuel out there. I noticed a lot more traffic. It’s taking longer to get home. More people are heading back to work. Gas prices will go up because of the demand. Oil will follow.

Well, camaro is right. they just do whatever they want to. Especially now, that many more trucks were bought due to "cheap gas".
So......when we’re all these trucks that are skewing fuel prices bought? Because vehicle sales are down.
