What do you look for when you "test drive" s car?

I'm short, so I need a vehicle that sits up high. I need to be able to see over the hood and I can't in a normal car. I sit too low in the seat. I made the mistake of buying a hybrid last time I bought a car. Didn't realize how low it actually was until I went to a drive through window and realized how low I was sitting.

If my right knee hits/rubs against the center console - vehicle taken out of consideration.

Yes, they do make cars SUVs, trucks - where the right leg does not touch the center console.

Also, the arm rest on both right and left. Some have none. While others have a skinny arm rest. Some have little padding armrests.

Not good armrests - no soup for me.

Folks would be surprised what a difference these two items make on long trips.
