I currently own a 1985 Mercedes Benz 190D and a 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. Been thinking about donating the diesel to a local charity. Also have a 2010 Vespa 300 GTS Super and a 2008 Piaggio MP3 500.
But for kids and marriage, I’d probably still be rocking something of 50s and 60s vintage as a daily, but I gave that habit up about 10 years ago.
We hear this only too often. And only too often, the intersection between "fun" and "practical" becomes... the modern full-sized pickup.

Often I think of even the NA Miata as being too electrically-suffused, too complicated and insufficiently minimalist. For instance, why aren't the engine block and transmission case used a structurally stressed members for the chassis, Lotus-style?
2010 Corolla - only just over 37,4++ miles but the rubber everywhere in deteriorating as well as paint peeling off the roof - mechanically, it's sound but disappointed in the quality.
