Folks, hi, your opinions appreciated on the topic.

We all know that we are the greatest country in the world for many reasons. We, indeed, are number one regarding lots of stuff. And if we look closer to the short list of developped countries (it includes Canada, Australia, New Zeland, Japan and most of the western european countries) we definitly beat them, being number one, in :
-murder and crime rates
-obesity rate
-pollution and global warming responsibility
-poverty rate
-family debt
-workaholism

But what about road safety and trafic fatalities.Do ya know something on the topic? Are we respectful? Are our roads safe compared with the others? Are we civilized when hitting the road? is it civil war or quiet peace in our roads?
What you think folks?

they easily give driving licenses to people in this country who actually don't think twice about doing things like apply make-up or for god's sake read the damn newspaper while driving, or where the flash to pass procedure actually gives other drivers road rage. it might not be as bad as china... but i'm going to say no. we're probably at the top of the most inconsiderate driver's list.

Anyone that thinks the US is bad has never driven in Italy.
Australia has a lot of issues with drinking and driving.

In Japan they have those wakaba and kareha badges that people have on their cars symbolizing if their a new driver or elderly. And people respect them.

Here if you have STUDENT DRIVER tagged all over the car people do not car and will honk at you, flip you off etc.
