People formerly driving large vehicles might find 20/30 MPG to be good fuel mileage.

Here are two coupes:

Chevrolet Camaro 1LS, 22/30 MPG, $25800

Toyota GR86, 21/31 MPG, $27900

The Camaro has noticeable size for those who want size. The GR86 resembles a more expensive Nissan 400 ZX.

Of course there is a small two-seat sports car:

Mazda MX-5 Miata, 26/35 MPG, $27650
.

Yeah, I put 168K on a diesel vehicle but fuel was reasonable at the time so home brew never seemed worth the trouble.

A lot of Europeans ride motorcycles through Canada and Alaska. But the motorcycles they ride look like they are around 250cc or smaller. I saw several of them riding through Fairbanks this afternoon. I often see RVers from Europe driving in Alaska and Canada, but I have no idea about which ports in Canada they disembark from. Electric bikes should be fine for short trips within the city, I imagine, but they are uncommon over here.

How long did you have to wait to take delivery and how well do you like it?
Just use for driving or do you use as work truck—haul tools, etc?

For an around town only car, I'm thinking of trading my Prius for a Camry Hybrid, but not 100% sure yet. The Chevy Bolt is tempting but doesn't qualify for the tax incentive and I personally really want that from an EV. The Kia EV6 is alittle more than I want to pay for a around-town car. I wish the Kia EV3 were out.

Funny how fickle customers suddenly change preferences.
Ford at least has some fuel economy models, unlike other domestic brands
  • 14.1 mpg - 40.5 mpg Ford
  • 14.4 mpg - 33.4 mpg Chevrolet
  • 20.2 mpg - 30.1 mpg Buick
  • 14.3 mpg - 27.0 mpg Jeep
  • 14.4 mpg - 27.0 mpg GMC
  • 11.9 mpg - 26.5 mpg RAM
  • 15.5 mpg - 26.8 mpg Cadillac
  • 19.1 mpg - 22.8 mpg Chrysler
  • 15.0 mpg - 22.8 mpg Dodge

Ford actually has some higher mpg vehicles than Nissan, Subaru and Mazda
  • 21.2 mpg - 59.2 mpg HYUNDAI MOTOR COMPANY
  • 14.4 mpg - 55.7 mpg TOYOTA
  • 20.7 mpg - 52.0 mpg Honda
  • 19.8 mpg - 50.0 mpg KIA
  • 15.0 mpg - 35.0 mpg NISSAN
  • 21.1 mpg - 31.5 mpg Subaru
  • 22.6 mpg - 31.0 mpg MAZDA

I guess getting 108mpg isn't enough for me. I'm shooting for 118mpg on the Honda Clarity.
