Mods, has nothing to do with Kias as in vehicle discussion. Thank you. Well, sort of.
Associate KIA was yesterday vandalized by likely one of them TikTok Kia Boys.
Thieves are targeting certain makes and models of 2010-2021 Kia and Hyundai vehicles that use a mechanical key, not a key fob and push-button to start the car.
The thieves are mainly young teens who use a USB cord to hot wire the car.
They post videos stealing and driving the cars on social media using the hashtag “Kia Boys” — which has more than 33 million views on TikTok.
I said this in the other thread..but Kia has been rolling out a software fix for this issue over the last couple of months. If you own a Kia affected by the problem and haven't gotten the update yet, go do so asap. It's free and takes about an hour to install.

Since I drive a 2019 Kia Soul with only 26,900 miles on it, that will be paid off next week. I have no mercy or compassion for the people that are stealing the cars. I don't care that these thieves are young. I Don't care what their age is , or what their circumstances in life are. As far as I'm concerned I hope their time on Earth is coming to a very quick end.
Don't know why Kia has any liability in this for producing basic models that do not come with an immobilizer...just like most cars 20+ years ago. No regulation saying they need to have one.
They are not breaking into old Kias. New ones too. Basic cost cutting. And they don't really steal them, for like profit. It's one of them moronic tictok challenges.
There was an incident here last week where 3 or 4 teenagers were stopped driving a stolen Kia and whomever came to pick them up at the police station was also driving one that was stolen.

I wonder if the parents of these teens are trash also, or are these teens just bad seeds? Picking them up in a stolen Kia at the Police station just shows how brazen these low life's are.
More, how dumb they are.
Part of it is the lack of instant and harsh punishment. Back in olden times....
