At 8 years old I had simple taste. 1967 Mustang GT Coupe.
I didn't know about the 1967 Corvette Stingray or the 60's Shelby Cobra until my college years. I would take those today. My heart still races whenever a replica Shelby goes by.
In 1963, age 19, the first car I bought with first paychecks was a 1958 Plymouth Savoy 2 dr sedan. 6 months later it needed a new engine ( 6 cyl flat head). :-(
My first car in 1972 was a 1965 Mustang. It was a 6 cylinder 3 speed slow as molasses piece of junk when I wanted a stupid powerful hot rod.
A few years ago I bought a 1968 Mustang. It was a retstomod with 450 horsepower and modern brakes and transmission. It looked great, and it sounded great and it was fast as all hell and ... it wasn't fun to drive. It sucked, really.
Couple of different vehicles I’d be happy with. A 1973 green Dodge Charger, 383, automatic. Or, a 1971 Ford Galaxie 500, 4 door. Or an 1977 Pontiac LeMans, 4 door, 350, brown. I’m always watching for these cars.
