As car prices continue downward, both new and used, some models of used cars has dropped significantly. Both Tesla and Land Rovers make this Top 10 list for huge price drops in their used models.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/10-us...134623333.html

Tesla can be likely attributed to dropping new car prices which drives used car prices lower and lower. There are other models from Nissan and Chevy that made the list.

Overall, the average used car is dropping 1% to 3% each week right now as part of a “correction” in the car industry. Maybe the car you’re seeking is reaching a price point that matches your budget.

Anything with an expensive battery (EVs, PHEVs, and hybrids) will likely depreciate faster because people worry about the batteries as they get older. I wouldn't buy one over about 5 years old unless I could get it fairly cheap, and I say that as someone who already owns one myself.

As far as Land Rover, well they're just unreliable garbage and everyone knows it.

Not every actual price drop is widely published by dealers. Window stickers may be unchanged but in reality, price drops are now a discussion topic, for nearly every model.

They have dropped like a rock. There are over 3,400 of them on autotrader.

My local dealer sells the regular C8 at MSRP now.

You can find 2021's in the 50K range now.

EV's even a year old are taking brutal beatings in the used market. Tesla lowered prices, crushing used values because a new one got thousands cheaper! My buddy traded a year old Audi Etron and lost $20,000 (6,000 miles).

This was inevitable.

The other thing about used cars is, there are always stinkers out there.

I won't name them but some of the best sellers are vehicles I'd never touch with a ten foot pole.

The high demand stuff will still stay high.

For those who may not know, "C8" is the latest version of the Chevrolet Corvette.

The prices are high, and staying high..for now...which is why I have not bought one.

I'm not paying way over sticker price for a new, or used car...especially a plastic car w/ poor visibility.

Nearly every C-8 is priced over its original sticker price...even 2020 models with low miles on them.

If you see one under original sticker, it usually has accident damage.

I am noticing they are not moving as fast now though.

I like their looks, and at sticker price, they are a good value for the performance you get.

I'll keep watching C8 pricing. I might buy one if the price drops to sticker or below on a 2020-2023 model.

I read the best value lies in the base coupe. The Z06's are rip off's imho.

Look at bring a trailer .com

C8s are posted there daily. One finished at 68K today, 2021 with 800 miles on it. My local dealer told me they will order a MSRP (and I've never considered them to be a deal on anything).
