My FIL Prius, had to drive him to a doctor appointment, insisted we take his car, I pulled out from behind a semi on the interstate to pass, and OMG, it felt like someone hit the brakes as soon as I got out in the wind. Second worse car was actually my favorite.....1971 Dodge Challenger, great car, got me in a lot of trouble, worse car for a young man in his early 20's

A Mazda I inherited from my grandmother, when we took the keys away in 1986.

A Nissan Altima with a CVT transmission. I rented a car and that is what they tried to give me. We were going on a road trip. We got in it and left the rental store. After a few miles, I turned around and took it back. It was already driving me crazy. The seats were cheap and uncomfortable. Everything in it was cheap hard plastic and the CVT transmission and engine noise seemed to resonate through all the cheap hard plastic. God what a complete turd of a car. I guess that is why you don't see a lot of Altima's anymore. I had to wait a bit but they got me a Camry and it was all good.

I've gotten some terrible rentals on business trips. Base model compact Hyundai's and Kias and such. Base corolla's, and the like.

I used to go home and hop in my personal car and it felt like I just bought a brand new high-end car, even if it wasn't.

Got stuck with a Toyota Yaris with a CVT for a rental car once. Ugh. The noisiest, buzziest, slowest (modern) piece of crap I've ever driven. Even the steering felt terrible. Toyota makes some very nice, refined automobiles but the Yaris is not one of them.

Renault Fuego, early 80s. The worst electrical system ever. Peppy little car but broke down weekly.

A '68 Plymouth Belvedere I was given in '78 after being honorably discharged from the Navy. three on the tree, four doors (One sagging), straight 6, and a total rolling wreck. On the bright side it was running and arguably drivable. At least it was something to drive in the rain other than the Kawasaki 750 I had when I was stationed in Port Hueneme, Ca.

Worst I've owned: 1975 MGB convertible. Fun to drive but it spent more time getting repaired than on the road. Rusty, the gauges didn't work, the rag top became literally a rag top, and on and on. Good thing I was young and all my friends had beaters, too.

Circa 2013 (I think) Chevy Trax. Couldn’t feel any more cheap.
Also had a Nissan Rogue that was pretty bad. Uncomfortable seats.

Both rentals.

2020 Toyota RAV4 (base model). Garbage in every way possible. The motor was so underpowered I felt like I was in a golf cart.
