JACKSONVILLE, Fla., June 4 (UPI) -- A Jacksonville, Fla., man said he has invented a car that runs on tap water and the vehicle travels "100 miles to the ounce."

Anthony Brown said he shut down the fuel injection system of his car and replaced it with a mechanism that runs on any type of water and a small amount of gas, WKMG-TV, Orlando, Fla., reported Wednesday.

If anyone is that in to fairy tales, turn on the Disney channel. These stupid claims have been around since R.E. Olds invented the auto in 1898. Every time gas gets expensive, the market is flooded with gas saving miracle devices. Take the money you would spend on any one of these miracle products, put it back in your pocket and save it for the next fuel fill up....

Even the long standing rumor that GM bought out a guy that invented a motor that ran on water instead of gas that could be placed in a modern car . My guess was someone saw a steam car some where and invented the conspiracy from there.

As the price of gas gets higher, expect to see more and more scams of people selling things to "triple your MPG!" and if you are dumb enough to put mothballs in you gas tank.... well what can I say. It will triple your MPG for sure - as the tow truck pulls your car to the shop!
