For what it is worth 8000k wasn't the best choice if you are looking for brightness.
4300k is the brightest of the HIDs. Any higher temp is just getting more blue or purple. And you are losing light in the process.

My car didn't have the options for the 4300K through the company I purchased them through. I think the 8's are perfect for me that is. I had a body shop check the aim etc. Everything is ok.
