78 in a 65, though I routinely hit the speed limiter in my first car which put it around 120 mph. Once a cop saw me going 100+, but he was driving on the other side of the freeway median. I saw his head snap around, and then immediately slowed down in case he radioed ahead to his buddies. Now I drive much more conservatively, because I've come to the realization that 65 is plenty fast compared to what we've been able to do at any other point in history.

97 in a 65. This happened in Oklahoma a few years back. $250 down the drain. OUCH.

never a ticket, just did get 2 warnings, once when a friend was driving, we got stoped, ready for a ticket.
I said maybe a warning-noway, I prayed, then he hit by error the siren, and came back looked at me it the back. He did see I was fully buckled up. Then looked in front. We did get the warning! we were
going to atlantic city, and he wished us luck. He was real nice and polite. He said I just cannot do a ticket,
maybe a prayer worked.

If you got out of a ticket in NJ, you need to write a book on how you did so. LOL! When I lived in NJ I could never get out of a ticket no matter how hard I tried! I'm jealous!

Worst speeding ticket you've ever received?
LOL.. it wasn't just one speeding ticket, but two. I wasn't going more than 10 or 15 MPH faster than the 55 MPH limit, but I got both tickets within one hour of each other, in early September of 1982. The funny part about that is, after I got the second ticket, I gave my girlfriend back then the keys, and she drove the remaining 40 or 50 miles about 10-20 MPH above the limit, and nobody bothered her, so go figure!

1- Oct 18, 2003 - Was fired from my job b/c I wouldn't go out for a drink (and more) w/the owner of the company and on my way home, was pulled over for speeding (mph over???), expired tag, and cracked windshield

2- I was 17 and hauling butt home from a friend's house and I pulled out apparently I was going 85 in a 45 and I was tailgating. Pulled over by 2 cops and started freaking out telling them that I was late and my dad was going to flip out if I wasn't home on time. Some how....they let me go.

3- Dec 14, 2001 - Ticket read "Ran red light, almost caused accident with my patrol unit" I did not get out of that one.

I have been well behaved since.

The worst speeding ticket I got wasn't bad speeding, it was just a bad speeding ticket because of the sheer outrage I felt in my heart. --So, I'm listening to the radio, driving, then, I see a motorcycle cop behind me with the lights on, he comes up, asks me for my information, leaves, comes back and drops a ticket in my lap leaving no room for explanation or anything. I got a 200$ ticket for going 2 mph over the speedlimit, and I was going down a hill. It was early in the hour so maybe he was getting his quota out of the way so he could take the rest of it off.....gah.

I never got stopped for speeding, but I got a heck of a warning on Thanksgiving.

In a 65 zone, there was a car going *exactly* 65 in the left lane. A line of us were in the right lane to pass the slow person. Then we all hit the brakes as the car lit up red and blue. It was a UC and he gave us all a warning.

I drove the speed limit the rest of the way.... ¬¬'

So a cop was left-lane hogging so that he could give you all warnings? What a jagstain. I hate pedantic jerks with badges. Illinois troopers give tickets to drivers who do what he was doing. Oh, and I like how he creates a bottleneck and then turns an unsafe situation into a potentially dangerous situation by causing panic-braking by flipping on his lights. Stupid cops **** me off.
