Based on the following criteria, what kind of car would you suggest:
* 4-door sedan
* Leather
* Automatic
* Smooth ride
* Reliable, easy to maintain
Approx 10 year old, as this is the price range that I am looking at in good ol' Europe. Brand is not important, but the car should look good somehow...

Nissan Maxima, Beautiful cars, amazing performance, reliability, comfortable ride. I've owned two in the last 4 years. I don't know if I'll ever own a different car. Mine had 197K miles and runs like it did when it came off the showroom floor.
Gas mileage,
I have a 5-speed and the best I got was 31.62 miles per gallon. Thats with 190 hp V6. Not bad? I think the Maxima outperforms the Camrys and Accords. Even with automatic tranny I've heard of folks getting 29 mpg. These cars are so comfortable.....

Thanks for all the replies... some pretty good suggestions here.
So far I looked at Camry, Accord, Legend - with the Hondas being at the top of that list. I was thinking as well about a first gen Lexus GS300, a bit more expensive but it seems well built... what are your thoughts?
I will put the Maxima on my list as you suggested
@ Tennesseestorm: The W126 is one excellent car, but for me it would have to be a full specced V8 then - which would exceed the cost limit that I've set (purchase price, but also yearly taxes, fuel, etc.)
