NORTHBROOK, Ill., Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Max Fabian, 99, says he still drives 90 miles per day, including the commute to his job at a Chicago-area wire company, because he just needs to keep busy.
Wow, at 100 I think working would be the last thing on my mind! I guess if he enjoys it he might as well but he drives a Buick LeSabre, someone should buy that man a Cadillac! Best of luck to him.
That's pretty remarkable. One can't help but think if someone should have pulled his license a long time ago. His reflexes just can't be what they should be no matter how good of condition he is in.
We can only hope no one gives him a cell phone too!
No doubt. Once you get a license, you never have to prove your driving ability again, ever. My grandfather drove in his 80s, there were black skid-marks 50 yards each way from his driveway where he'd pulled out in front of people so many times. We took his car, finally. It was getting ridiculous, and dangerous.

I can only hope that if I live that long I'll still be driving. Freedom of mobility as in driving is truly a right to cherish.
