Which year is your Maxima. I have a 1995 Maxime SE that has almost 250K. You may need to change the front end stuff, since they are the parts that seem to wear out quickly on this car.

Considering the tail light/brake light bulb, this kind of thing is frequently caused by a bad ground. The ground on this is normally a wire going to a connection, the connection is screwed or rivited to the body, here you generally have a brass-to-steel connection, over time you will get some galvanic corrosion, so cleaning particularly where the brass meets the steel is important. Sometimes this ground connection is physically some distance from the tail light assembly.

You can get an owner's manual from a local boneyard or from vendors such as Faxon Auto Literature. Faxon will have the factory shop manual as well. Worth having IMHO.
